		      Compressed HST WF/PC Image

This image has been compressed with an experimental algorithm for
16-bit CCD images.  The concept is that the most-significant byte does
not use all of its bits and therefore should compress better than the
least-significant byte, which contains most of the incompressible
photon noise. The file has been split into two files, the even bytes
and the odd bytes. The two files have then been compressed separately.
The theory is valid for the first of the HST test images: 80% of the
most-significant (even) bytes are eliminated.

To recover the file issue the following command:
	make all uncompress
