A sample FITS file from the XTE Archive The FITS file in this directory, FIHX_587412a-5874264 (25920 bytes), was picked at random from the XTE archive at ftp://legacy.gsfc.nasa.gov/xte/data/archive It was copied from the directory ftp://legacy.gsfc.nasa.gov/xte/data/archive/AO1/P10080/10080-01-02-00A/ The file FIHX_587412a-5874264.txt contains an ASCII text listing of the header text of the FITS file. The file contains one binary table with 33 columns; the comments say it is a "HEXTE INDEX". Note that DATE-OBS and TIME-OBS are not UTC, because the header declares that TIMESYS = 'TT ' / XTE time will be TT (Terrestrial Time) Also note the use of the CHECKSUM and DATASUM keywords in these headers. -Don Wells, 1997-05-22 -- Donald C.
